Located in the heart of the Baux de Provence village in a historical landmark building, the Santons Museum welcomes visitors every day of the year without interruption. This institution is located in what was once the village's guardhouse protecting the Porte d'Eyguières (Porte de l'eau). Built in 1634 by the master mason Hermentaire Carbonnel the building was home to the Town Hall until 1960. The museum offers a permanent display of 200 santons illustrating the history of the little clay figures. A place of memory and initiation, the collection allows one to discover the characteristics and esthetic qualities of santons from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
